News24 | Failure to increase VAT threshold burdens small businesses

If the turnover threshold or limit for registration for VAT had been adjusted for inflation annually since the last increase in 2009, it would now be around R2.1 million. Instead, it has not been increased from R1 million in 16 years, creating burdens on smaller businesses.
